The University of Maine undergraduate public management program may face elimination. Pasted below is information from the program

Carolyn Ball, whose position and tenure was transferred to Muskie, is leading our effort to establish the MPA and is working on the proposal. I hope that we will have what the UMaine System calls an "Intent to Plan," which is the official prelude to actually offering the degree, done by December-January for full implementation in the fall of 2012. It will very likely be offered in a blended fashion with most courses offered at a distance but with some intense periods of on-campus meetings with faculty and instructors. It is also likely to be offered through our Augusta Capitol center. At least that is the plan! I would certainly appreciate if this was indicated to the membership of the MTCMA. Many thanks and hope all is well. Mark
